RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process begun by the second Vaticin Council. Its purpose is to help those interested in the Catholic faith learn more about the importance of Jesus in their lives and in the world, while at the same time becoming familiar with the Church and our beliefs.
The RCIA was begun at St. Leo Catholic Church in the fall of 2001. Thanks to the efforts of the members of the parish and the Holy Spirit, the program has been very successful. The members of the "team" include Victor and Lynn Fromm, Debbie D'Angelo, Marty and Kathy Jacobs and our pastor, Fr. Mike. There have been numerous parishioners who have been sponsor "companions" for all the people going through the process. This is a year-round process with classes each week, and begins with the six week Inquiry sessions listed above.
